The policy

Every doomscrolling.sucks license bought on this site comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, counted from the day of purchase. You don't have to give a reason. One refund per person: the guarantee covers your first purchase, not a second license bought after a refund.

Before buying, remember that every tool has a free 14-day trial with every feature. Trying first is the better deal for both of us.

How to ask

  1. Email contact@doomscrolling.sucks from the address you bought with, within 14 days of the purchase.
  2. Include the license key (DOOM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) or the purchase email. Nothing else is needed.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used, issued through Stripe, the merchant of record for the sale, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. The amount refunded is what you paid, including any VAT or sales tax. Questions about receipts, invoices or your card statement are handled by Stripe's Link support; card disputes too.

After a refund

The license key is deactivated and stops activating new Macs. You agree to stop using the tools it unlocked and to uninstall them. One honest warning: blocking does not depend on the license. A tool you configured keeps enforcing its schedule until you uninstall it, and uninstalling needs the password you set. A refund does not and cannot bypass that password.

Your legal rights

This guarantee is in addition to whatever the law gives you; it never reduces it.

  • European Union, EEA and United Kingdom. Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital content that is delivered immediately, as your key is, that right can end once delivery begins with your agreement; Stripe, the merchant of record, applies the rules of your region to the sale. The 14-day guarantee above applies regardless, so in practice you keep a 14-day window either way.
  • Portugal. We are established in Portugal, so the European rules above apply as written into Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014). You can also use the consumer arbitration entities and the electronic complaints book listed in the terms.
  • Everywhere else. If your local consumer law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.

What isn't refundable

  • Requests after 14 days, unless the law in your country says otherwise.
  • Licenses bought somewhere other than this site. Ask the place you bought from.
  • A second or later purchase after an earlier refund.

Please email before opening a dispute with your bank: a refund by email is faster for you and cheaper for a one-person shop.
